Spring Semester Events!

Harmony's Café Banner

Harmony’s Café is a program series sponsored by the Center for Cross-Cultural Engagement (CCCE). It started last semester (Fall 2013) and was a great success! Some of the programs we had were:

  • Teach for America: Discussion About Education in the United States and Abroad
  • Foreign Films (Volver & Kai Po Che)
  • Asian Culture Club: Ghost Festival
  • Black Student Union: Diversity? At Denison? Discussion
  • Middle Eastern Culture Club: Axis of Evil Comedy Film

How can I host an event for Harmony’s Café?

How it works is that an individual or student organization works with CCCE to plan an event. Harmony’s Café takes place every Thursday between 3:00pm-6:00pm in the Shepardson College Room in the Slayter Union. CCCE will book the room, help advertise, provide snacks and give any other support as needed.

This is a great way to share interests with other students, celebrate cultural holidays, have discussion on current events or issues on campus, etc. By hosting an event for Harmony’s Café you get help with some of the work load and you are able to create a program you’re interested in!
