What is Diwali?
Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights, and is one of the only festivals that is celebrated in all parts of India. Mythology states that Prince Ram, the heir to the throne of Ayodhya, and the favorite of his father, King Dashratha, was unfairly exiled from his kingdom by one of the King’s other queens in an attempt to place her own son, Bharat, on the throne.
