I never realized how much trash I produce in one day until I started No Impact Week. Just little things like candy wrappers from the dining hall, napkins at dinner, or bags from snacks really add up for me. I love food and this is going to be a struggle all week long. Another thing that I feel is going to be a real problem is the amount of water that I use on a daily basis. I drink almost 2 gallons of water a day and shower anywhere from 1-3 times. This water usage adds up and its hard because I have to do things like skip a shower after a workout and take one later. I’m the kind of person who likes to be physically clean and it really bothers me that I can’t take a shower. This is going to be one long week.
