Some Sweet Decorations

I was surprised by how normal everything felt today. Despite my one napkin from the dining hall, because of a squished piece of pineapple on my chair, this was my most successful no impact day. When I walked into my room after my classes I didn’t even look at or think about my light switch. I didn’t eat anything from wrappers today and also had no red meat.

Day 4 blog: Juliana

Today went really well until it didn’t. I did my usual: kept the lights off, fan unplugged, chargers unplugged, and no napkins. I washed my toothbrush off with my damp face cloth, designated for only the toothbrush, instead of running water, and finished the water in my water bottle that was from yesterday. Then, all of a sudden, I messed up.

Day 3 blog: Juliana

Today went well! I left my fan unplugged and lights off during the night and day, and since I was in classes for most of today, my laptop and phone are still pretty full in battery and don’t need to be charged. I also avoided red meat at dinner, so I’m making some progress. One accident today was that when I left the bathroom after washing my hands, I stopped and quickly turned around when I realized I didn’t turn off the sink; I for some reason¬†thought I was using an automatic sink, which is super weird because I know that the bathroom on my floor is not automatic.

Day 2 blog: Juliana

Although I started off the morning with a Twix bar, which is pretty bad whether it’s No Impact Week or not, the rest of the day went well. When I brushed my¬†teeth this morning, instead of washing my toothbrush off under running water, I put a few drops of water on a face towel and wiped it off.

Day 1 blog: Juliana

When I woke up this morning, I began with my normal routine which was to eat a Nutri-Grain bar. I took the bar out of my snack drawer, ripped open the wrapper, and inched it toward my mouth before abruptly stopping and putting it down. Since I had already opened it, I wasn’t exactly sure what to do.
