Although I had a little bit of a rough start this morning, I thought today ended up going rather well. I was able to enjoy the beautiful weather and just relax. This week will be one to remember, and I have picked up on (good) habits that I plan on continuing. I have noticed that I pay more attention to what is around me rather than having a one-set mind on what I am going to do the next minute.
Since it will be late when I get back tonight, I am going to blog now. Today I already know is going to be a little rough. I have used natural lighting so far this morning and my shower was rather quick. But we are going to be driving over 200 miles today round trip today.
Today started out pretty decent, but then I remembered I had to give a presentation that required me to look nice. And while I usually try to stay away from my hair dryer, I used my curling iron, but I managed to use natural light for my lighting, so that gives me some sort of brownie points.
So the past couple of days have not been as bad, or as hard I guess as I expected them to be. I think with having the perfect weather has really been helpful for me. It isn’t so bad getting ready in the mornings, my window is large enough that plenty of natural light comes in to light the entire room.
On the first day of No Impact Week, I sort of lucked out in way. The softball team had a game at Capital, so it meant that I would be spending almost 3/4 of my day outside! So that helped me in so many ways, mostly in not using as much electricity or energy. I would say the only downfall of my day was the driving to get to and from and also my shower this morning.
