Final Day

The final day went very well. This project has taught me a lot about myself and about our society as a whole. In class today we talked a lot about whether or not what we have done has made a difference. I believe that we have. While what we did was not Earth shattering or ground breaking, it is another start in the education of our society in our consuming habits.

A Long Day of Driving and Working

Today has been a lot of driving, I drove out to school, drove out to get an oil change, drove back home, and drove to go get groceries today since it was raining (I did bring my own reusable bags though). I just do not know of a way to really reduce my carbon footprint. I would love to get an electric car, but there is now way I could get the money for that for a long time.

Hump Day

Day 3 was pretty easy, mostly because I was so busy all day. I did not stop doing work until about six o’clock, then I took a 2 hour break and basically just stared at a wall. After that it was back to work on the projects that have to be done by the end of the year.

Reevaluation

As a lot of you guys know, I commute to school and a lot of times I need to be back at home for work or other things before dinner. So I have decided to slightly change my personal goals. At my house, I do not have the ability to eat purely local food because I do not supply the food in my house.

A Tough Start

Today has not been bad, but difficult. It is hard to be conscious of every little thing I do that impacts the environment because I have so many habits of consuming. I had to turn down a free doughnut today, which may have been the first time ever. I did cut my shower time to 3 minutes but that has really been the only easy part.
