Day Five

Today began really well, I took a short shower (about two minutes) and then proceeded to get breakfast in Curtis before class. Something I realized while in Curtis today is how easy it is to not be sustainable. Curtis provides boxes of napkins completely filled on each and every table. This allows you to take sixty napkins, when you really only need one.

Day 4

So far, today has been really good. I have been continuing to use bandannas to blow my nose and today  cleaned all of them in the sink (using minimal water) instead of throwing a load of laundry in. I did order a coffee today, but I reused my old plastic cup from day one when I got an iced coffee.

Day Three

Today was fairly no-impact, I ended up outside for almost the whole day (minus during class). It was really nice to do work in the sun, but also very distracting. I also went for a run, but without listening to music so I did not have to use any devices. It was really refreshing just to listen to nature around me on my run.

Day Two

Today I woke up at about 6:30am and could not fall back asleep. It was one of the I-can’t-fall-back-asleep-but-I’m-still-totally-exhausted mornings. So around 8:30 I went to Slayter, ordered an iced coffee, and then realized it was still No Impact Week. So now I have an empty plastic coffee cup to reuse, but also I’m an idiot.

Day One

I was up super late last night, so I decided to begin at midnight. I was with a friend, explaining No Impact week to her, and she was inspired and decided to do it with me. Since one of my goals is to give up my phone for the week (it is currently sitting somewhere on East Quad) she also decided to do this.
