I decided to post really late so I could be sure to describe the entirety of my last day in my last blog post. I did throw away more than in the last couple days because I had to use a lot of tissues, although I may have offset this with a blistering shower time of 3 1/2 minutes.
Today went very well, although mostly because my work oriented schedule gave me very few consumption opportunities. I have spent most of the day in the library or some other area with communal lighting, to minimize my electrical consumption. I also succeeded in shaving half a minute off of my fastest shower time, bringing me to an all time low of 4 minutes.
I found it much easier to be mindful of my consumption today than I did yesterday. As a result, I have managed to go through the day without generating any garbage, except for packaging from one food item I purchased in Slayter. I was successful in only drinking water from my water bottle, although this minor success might be offset by my moment of weakness in Slayter.
Day one of no impact week went mostly as expected; which is to say that I absentmindedly failed my daily goals on several occasions. One of my main goals was to reduce the amount of waste I generate by only drinking water from my re-usable water bottle. However, as soon as I got out of my first class, I rushed excitedly to Slayter for my mid morning cup of coffee in a disposable cup.
