Day 5- Learning

I am starting my blog today as a long, cumulative thought process that I have been trying to develop throughout the week. Sorry if the ideas don’t flow together well, some things struck me in the moment so I wrote about them.

Day 4- A true NO Impact day?!

I have made some really strong improvements since the beginning of the week and have kept myself from driving my car the entire time. I haven’t given up coffee, but I used one of the jars from my slip-ups from Monday (one of those Starbucks Frappuchino things) to drink coffee from and must say that even my friends said that’s a good idea.

Day 3- Passion for a change

As the week has progressed, I have been observing people’s reactions to my consumption changes. Some have turned their noses to me, some have chuckled and rolled their eyes, and others have gotten me food and then removed the wrappers as if that was some kind of alternative way of reducing my personal consumption. People are unaware and that is really concerning to me.

Day 2- High Impact day

Today, I started off by drinking a cup of coffee again- I guess that habits die hard. I really tried to be better with my consumption, but by the end of the day I realized I had eaten a pizza on a cardboard box, helped mop up a friend’s spilled drink- with 10 napkins might I add- and then took a airhead from a friend.

Day 1- No Impact Week

Today, I started off my No Impact week by trying to find my reusable coffee cup. Unfortunately, after a tentative search and the pressing issue of being late to my Environmental studies class, I gave up. So, I had to resort to using a paper cup that I had to throw away, along with the lid and the pod for coffee.
