So far within the hour I have been awake I have been doing well. I usually straighten my hair in the morning due to bed head but today I did not. I do not do much in the morning since this is the time where I am the most sustainable compared to my other times throughout the days.
Today was probably the worst out of the other days consumption/waste wise. I wasted things that were not necessary. Also there were things I had no control and had to consume. For instance, I was on the computer longer than what I promised since I had to use the computers for work. For one of my side projects I used new paper to create posters.
Today I made progress since the first day such as using paper towels once after washing hands. However, I was not able to decrease my napkin usage from 4. I hope by tomorrow I use only 2.
I failed again with food since I did not have a choice but to get meal x because time did not permit me to eat dinner in the dining hall.
Today was harder than the first day.. food wise. I noticed that today in the dining hall that they had very minimum vegetarian options (no surprise). Other days I get by but today it was difficult. Almost all the lines consisted of meat, so I went to the salad bar and got turned off by how not fresh the romaine lettuce and other toppings looked.
I did not struggle living up to my goals that I have made for No Impact week. During class when we were writing goals down I struggled to think of any since so far I think that I lead my life sustainably. My main concern was taking quick showers and turning off unused energy.
Prior to this week, I found myself doing things that I do not normally do.
