Doing Math in Public

A joint sponsoring of The Anderson Lecture Series and the Doris G. Gordon Lecture Series,  presents a lecture by Steven Strogatz, the Schurman Professor of Applied Mathematics at Cornell University, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, in the lecture hall of Denison University’s Burton D. Strogatz is a highly cited scholar of mathematics. His popular online column in The New York Times, “The Elements of Math,” lead to the publication of a book titled “The Joy of X – A Guided Tour of Math from One to Infinity.”
