I’m familiar with AI. Now what?

Are you already pretty familiar with generative AI? Ready to try more advanced prompting? Our friends at the UCF’s Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning, led by Kevin Yee, have created a terrific resource: AI Hacks for Educators. Kevin and his group offer more than 50+ AI uses with detailed prompts that you can copy and edit for your purposes. I used this resource last week for a mini-course at our national professional meeting. Here are some of attendees favorite topics:
  • 1) Help craft an enticing welcome statement for your syllabus
  • 7) Revise existing assignment prompts to nudge student success
  • 11) Generate GRE-style test questions
  • 12) Help develop rubrics
  • 19) Create Practice Quizzes, Worksheets, and Problem Sets
  • 43) Aid in developing an outline of a grant application
  • 46) Adjust the length of a grant application
