Canvas has a sleek new template coming, thanks to the feedback from over 100 faculty/students. The new template will launch in May- check out this 30-second sneak peek!
OER resources: As you think about course content this summer, this LibGuide for Affordable Content & OER makes an excellent starting point. If you are interested in learning more about affordable content practices, the Open Education Resources Initiative has a streamlined, self-paced Canvas course worth exploring. If you want to dive even deeper, the University of Pittsburgh has created a Canvas module on OER, freely available via Creative Commons licensing.
AI and Course design: Alchemy has put together some excellent AI webinars. Embracing the AI Mindset: Transformative Strategies for Course Design may be particularly helpful as you think about course writing assignments this summer. Alternatively, peruse all of their offerings from this past year.
Faculty R Learning Community: Interested in developing new R/RStudio skills or dipping your toes into learning R? A new R learning community will meet about once a month to explore new skills and tips from group members. Contact Lori Kumler (kumlerl@denison.edu) to join or learn more.
If you want to learn more about any of these topics above or other support, feel free to reach out to ETS (ets@denison.edu) or to your liaison.
