Tech: A picture tells a thousand words- unique images for your course

There are several ways to make your course stand our for students. One way is to add images that relate to your course topic. You can change the image on your home page by going to “Pages” under the main menu. Once there, you can scroll down the photo icon to upload an image from your computer. Although your photo does not have to have the same dimensions, the Denison photo above is 6016 pixels wide by 1883 high.

You can also choose a unique image to represent your course on the dashboard. To do this, navigate to settings under your menu, then under course details, hit the three dots beside your current image, and then “choose image.” You will be able to upload an image here. Below is an example related to international themes (a globe and a car). I pulled this free image from openverse.org, another source is unsplash.com.

Now, the students will see the image on the course button, enabling them to quickly identify your course by sight.
