Meeting our Global Ambassadors: Gabby Palmowska

Written by Gabby Palmowska ’26

Hey everyone my name is Gabby Palmowska, and I’m someone who’s always eager to embrace new opportunities and adventures. I was born in Poland – often mislabeled as Eastern Europe, though fun fact it’s actually in Central Europe. Poland is known for its rich culture and, of course, its delicious cuisine, including pierogi, kielbasa, barszcz, and gołąbki.

During my childhood, I also had the chance to live in New Zealand, a country famous for its breathtaking landscapes and nature. From verdant valleys and deep glacier lakes to sandy beaches and fjords, it was a place of constant discovery. It’s also where I experienced Asian and Australian cuisine, skied on an active volcano, and even got a little too close to a mudpot – an acidic hot spring that burned me.

After spending a few years back in Poland, I decided to take a big leap and moved across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States. I spent my first two years in a boarding school, and now I’m in my junior year of college. I’ve embraced American culture by watching sports like football, baseball, and basketball, celebrating Thanksgiving with various families, and exploring incredible national parks. Currently studying Global Commerce and Visual Art at Denison University.

This Spring semester, I am in Copenhagen, Denmark to study Interior Architecture and Marketing. We will see what this journey will teach me and allow me to discover!
