Meet Dr. Lori Kumler, an educational technologist within ITS!
Dr. Lori Kumler brings a wealth of international experience to her work at Denison, shaped by years of living, teaching, and researching abroad. Born and raised in central Ohio, Dr. Kumler ventured beyond her home state after high school, spending time in different states and countries, including Brazil, before returning to Ohio.

Hi, I’m Alyssa and I’m from California! The question of where I’m from is always a bit tricky for me since I grew up in California, went to high school in New Jersey, and my parents live in Mexico, but I’ll just stick to California! I’m a junior here at Denison studying International Studies and Spanish with a concentration in Latin America and Caribbean studies.

Dr. Erik Klemetti is an associate professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Denison University. His work has taken him to Chile and New Zealand, where he spent about a month in each country studying volcanoes. Looking back at these experiences, Dr. Klemetti shares, “Both were amazing experiences. Even if I wasn’t working on Earth science questions, the immersion into a different country was enthralling.”

Hallo, Ich heiße Reya! I am currently a senior at Denison. I’m originally from Dublin, Ohio, though I was born in Bangladesh. When I was five, my family moved to New York City, and we eventually settled in Ohio when I was 14. Currently, I’m double majoring in Environmental and International Studies with a minor in Politics and Public Affairs.
